Big Buck World - New Feature: Team Play

Big Buck World introduces a new gameplay feature called Team Play, or 2-on-2 shootout mode.
In Team Play, 2 players (Green Team) take on 2 other players (Orange Team) in competitive shootout mode. First Green Team player 1 takes on Orange Team player 1, then Green Team player 2 takes on Orange Team player 2. Green Team's scores are added up and compared against Orange Team's score at the leaderboard.

This mode combines teams and competition in one mode. You can play with one friend and against another. Each member of each team still plays all the gameplay (5 sites & bonus per trek). This mode is only available in Big Buck World. It's available within the Opens Season side of Big Buck World, and the Big Buck Safari Outback side of Big Buck World.

Big Buck World - New Adventures

Here is some info about the upcoming Big Buck World game...

Now pay attention, cuz Pappy had to get some folks mighty likker'd up to find out this info.

As you know, Big Buck World contains 2 games in one: (Big Buck Hunter Open Season & Big Buck Safari Outback) So you can pick either game.

The Big Buck Safari Outback game is an update to Big Buck Safari. It contains 3 all-new Adventures. Here are the new Adventures:

Ibex Adventure (Northern Africa)

Why not have it all?

We at Pappy's Porch recognize (this being election day) that you have difficult choices to make:

'Who buys the next round?'

'Who should you bum $5 off for your next game of Big Buck?"

'Should you go find a Big Buck Hunter Open Season -or- Big Buck Safari?

We understand that these are weighty matters. That's why we are pleased to announced that now Big Buck World offers BOTH GAMES IN ONE CABINET!!

Now you can alternate between playing your 2 favorite games without having to take a single step.

Wow! It's like having Beer AND Pretzels!

It's like having BOTH your girl friends in the same place! ...uh... wait... maybe that's not such a good example.

Anyway, you get the idea

Here's the first Game Select screen from the new Big Buck World game:

New Tournament Types! - Cumulative Kills

Rack 'em up!
The more the merrier with Cumulative Kills Tournaments

Maybe you're not a world-class sharpshooter like Big Buck Legends Jerad Berg, Alex Derhohannesian, Steve Guenther or Michael Jastrzembski. Maybe you just love having a pitcher of beer with friends and playin a few rounds of Big Buck with your 5 favorite sexy barmaids hunting party. Well, Cumulative Kills Tournaments are for you!

Cumulative Kills Tournaments keep track of your total cumulative bucks killed over the course of the tournament. You don't need to get a zillion points, just keep racking up kills. Each time you play a cumulative kills tournament game, all your bucks killed are added to your running total. The more you play, the higher your total. Don't worry if you miss a critter or two, just keep rackin' the bucks up!

There's no such thing as a bad day to hunt!
So play more, shoot more & win more with cumulative kills tournaments.

This year the 2009 Big Buck Safari World Championship Qualifying Tournament will be a cumulative kills style tournament. Click here to find out what region you are in, and where to start playing!

New Tournament Types! - King of the Hill

Are you tired of competing against the top Big Buck players in the nation?
Do you feel like you have no chance of winning a prize?

If so, then Play Mechanix has introduced the perfect Big Buck tournament for you.
Play Mechanix has created a new style of tournament called 'King of the Hill'.
In a 'King of the Hill' style tournament, you don't compete against every player in the country, you only compete against the other players at your favorite location.

Perhaps you don't feel you stand a chance against some of the crackshots from across the country, but you know you can beat the stiffs at your own watering hole. Well this is the tournament for you. In a 'King of the Hill' tournament, the top score from each location wins a prize.

So if 5 people play a 'King of the Hill' tournament at your bar, the top player on that machine will win a prize.

Now you can't run all over town and get a first place score on every machine, because you can only win at one location (whatever location has your highest place).

Now everyone has a shot at winning a prize!

Calling Australian Citizens

As you may recall, we at Pappy's Porch have always felt that Big Buck Hunter and Big Buck Safari are training people to be better citizens.

This is proven true once again in a small town in the outback of Australia. A recent Times Online article has chronicled how this small town has been invaded by Giant Spiders. The article reports how the desperate town has resorted to expensive methods of pest control to try and deal with the problem.

The more obvious solution would, of course, be to bring bus in the top 10 Australian Big Buck Safari players, equip them with orange and green painted shotguns and turn them loose for a real-life 'Tarantula Bonus'.

How do the makers of Big Buck select what bonuses they are going to create for Big Buck games? It's obvious that they simply ask "what shooting skills would best benefit humanity", and let that be their guide.

Big Buck - the Miracle Drug

I know it seems that after playing Big Buck for several hours, things seem to get fuzzier and fuzzier. ...That might have something to do with all those beer rounds between sites. Because according to a recent research article from the Brain and Cognitive Sciences Dept at University of Rochester, playing Video Games can actually IMPROVE your vision. Hey, I didn't make this up, some brainiacs in a lab room proved it. Face it, your mom was wrong... staring at a monitor can improve your vision.

So, next time you've stayed out too late, and had too many... and that girl or guy is starting to look better and better thru your beer goggles... you'd better play a little more Big Buck so you can see for realz.

This will be particularly helpful in finding our Hidden Easter Eggs in this months Big Buck Safari National Tournament.

Just 4 Days Left!

Yesterday we revealed the location of the 10th and final Easter Egg. Of course, finding these Easter Eggs increases your tournament score, so the more you find, the higher your score.

Now all the hiding places have been revealed.

What are you waitin' fer? Git out there and hunt!
